The thermal spa

The Thermal Spa of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux is the only thermal spring north of Paris, specialising in the treatment of rheumatology and respiratory tract disorders. First recognised for its therapeutic benefits by the Romans, the water of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux supplies the first thermal baths built by Vauban in the seventeenth century. Illustrious figures such as Archduke Leopold of Austria and Louis de Bonaparte have taken the waters here

Today, the light and airy rotunda of the Thermes de Saint-Amand-les-Eaux shows off its charming curves in a park full of hundred-year-old trees, on the edge of the forest. The treatment area welcomes visitors in comfortable and modern surroundings for full packages combining balneotherapy and hydrotherapy, as well as facial and body treatments.

"The Curist," is a diary published every week by the Tourist Office, and contains the highlights of organised events: medical conferences, guided tours, welcome days and much more.
